  1. FREE Family Fun Event to kick-off at 9:30 am. Activities include Baseball Skills Challenges for all ages, games, inflatables, entertainment, and meet Atlanta Braves Pitcher Tim Hudson. Hudson autograph signing from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Autographs are $10 per item. Please bring your own items to be autographed, such as a bat, glove, shirt, etc. A limited number of baseballs will be available for purchase at the event.


  1. Atlanta Braves 1st Basemen, Adam LaRoche, and former Cy Young winner, Steve Bedrosian will be signing autographs at 11am.

  2. Grand Finale “Knock CF Out of the Park” Home Run Derby with Guest of Honor, Tim Hudson, will begin at 12:30 pm. Click here to register now!


  1. Families will have a chance to win exciting prizes during Silent Auction and Raffle Drawings.


  1. Food provided by Chick-fil-A and ballpark concessions will be available for purchase.


  1. Proceeds/donations will go to the Team Colin Fund.

1.Contestants must be registered with paid entry fee prior to 12pm (noon) Saturday, October 3, 2009


2.Contestants will be placed in appropriate age division based on age/number of participant's


3.Home Run Derby will consist of 5 age division's with the TOP 3 point total's in EACH Division awarded prizes to those contestants.


4.Home Run Distance will be adjusted appropriately for each age Division


5.All batter's are allowed 10 swing's for a chance to score. A swing includes a foul ball and check swing's. Each batter will have the option to take 2 swings at a ball from the plate for warm-up's. Warm-up swings will not count on your score sheet. Each batter will be asked before they step up to home plate if they want 2 warm-up swings.


6.There are 3 different score zones marked on the field. Each zone represent's 3 different points


7.To score point's, a ball must travel in the air. Either a fly ball or line drive and land over or on a score line.


8.Field of play is between the foul lines to the outfield fence.


9.The first score line is marked just past the infield and is 1-point

The second score line is half-way between the fence and the first score line and is 2-points

The third score line is any ball that hit's or goes over the outfield fence in the air and is 3-points


10.At the end of the 10th swing the contestant's points will be totaled on the score sheet.


11.You may bring your own pitcher otherwise, someone from HomePlate staff will pitch.  


While contestants are at the plate:

 

1.Please do not distract, yell out, or interfere with a batter.

2.While at the plate take your time, tell the pitcher were you like to make contact with the ball.

3.Do not interfere with any balls hit on the field.

4.You need to score to win so try to make solid contact with the pitches you like.

5.Any contestant can request to have their own pitcher before his or her appearance at the plate.
